Leadership Team

Dimitris Bertsimas

Founder

Dimitris is a serial entrepreneur, founder of Dynamic Ideas and AlphaRoute. He is also current Associate Dean of Business Analytics, Boeing Professor of Operations Research and faculty director of the Master of Business analytics at MIT.

John Hanlon

CEO and Co-founder

John previously served as the COO of Boston Public Schools where he oversaw Transportation and other departments. He has held other executive-level roles in the public and nonprofit sectors and has an MBA from Duke University.

Diogo Lousa

Co-Founder

Passionate about the use of technology to improve transportation, Diogo is a former Director of Paratransit Technology for the MBTA in Boston where he led academic research, public-private partnerships, and the implementation of a new routing technology. He has an MBA from MIT.

Mohammad Ghane

Co-Founder

Mohammad has considerable experience in Optimization and Stochastic Systems. He received his PhD in Operation Research in 2016 and has published articles in premier academic journals for transportation.

Arthur Delarue

Advisor and Co-Founder

Arthur has a PhD in operations research and an S.B. in physics and mathematics from MIT. He is passionate about improving transportation systems and empowering policy makers to make equitable and cost-effective decisions.

Sébastien Martin

Advisor and Co-Founder

Sébastien is an assistant professor of Operations at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He has a PhD in operations research from MIT and a M.Sc. from Ecole polytechnique. His research is focused on complex transportation problems, including school transportation and ridesharing.

As PhD students at MIT, Arthur and Sebastien joined with Dimitris Bertsimas in working with Boston Public Schools to develop the revolutionary vehicle routing algorithms used today by AlphaRoute.

Our amazing team also includes PhD-level data scientists, web developers, software trainers, marketing and IT specialists, and customer support staff.
